Ben Keen has been instrumental in building Screen Digest into the world's premiere research company focusing on the media and entertainment space. Through Mr Keen's leadership, Screen Digest has become the primary source of market analysis and strategic insight for many of the largest communications corporations in the US, Europe and Asia-Pacific. This leading position has recently been reinforced through the acquisition of the foremost US analyst group, Adams Media Research, the Board of which Mr Keen has now joined.
As Chief Analyst, Mr Keen directs all the company's research and consultancy activities. Under Mr Keen's management, Screen Digest has grown rapidly from 13 specialist analysts in 2003 to over 40 in 2008.
Mr Keen also leads Screen Digest's Global Media Intelligence service, which is exclusively marketed by Merrill Lynch to some of the largest institutional investment groups in the world.
Renowned for his insight and vision, Mr Keen is one of the most sought-after speakers on the international conference circuit. He has delivered over 350 presentations and lectures, including keynote addresses at many international conventions. Additionally, he has contributed articles to more than 20 different books, magazines and newspapers.
As an internationally recognised expert in the media and communications business, Mr Keen's services as a consultant and advisor are constantly in demand. Since 1988, he has been retained as an advisor to the British Screen Advisory Council, a government-industry liaison organisation that counts the elite of the UK media management amongst its membership. Mr Keen has recently consulted at board-level to a leading TV technology manufacturer, a Content Delivery Network (CDN) services business, two UK broadcaster PLCs, a major entertainment retailer, Vivendi Universal Games, an international TV channels group, and the UK Film Council.
David Fisher Editor
David has been Editor of Screen Digest since 1974, having joined the company two years earlier, soon after its foundation.
He was responsible for establishing many of the functions that have grown to world-leading status, most notably the statistical data collection of the worldwide video industry that was developed in the late 1970s, similarly monitoring cable and satellite in the early 1980s.
He was a co-opted member of the Interim Action Committee on the Future of the British Film Industry and its successor, the British Screen Advisory Council. He once caused a cinema-related bill to be withdrawn from parliament for redrafting (and was subsequently thanked in both houses).
Among other editorial activities, he was executive editor of Television, the Journal of the Royal Television Society for four years and has contributed to numerous journals, newspapers and conferences.
An award-winning film school graduate, he is an associate fellow of the University of Warwick, where he taught for several years. He was the first recipient of the President's Award of the BKSTS.
Mark Smith Senior Editor
Mark is the senior editor at Screen Digest, a member of its management team, and a veteran of some 19 years with the company.
Mark has built several of the online Intelligence services currently offered by Screen Digest, and is responsible for their ongoing development. He is also specialised in the forecasting of global media markets, especially in new media areas such as mobile gaming, broadband entertainment content, and online gambling.
Most recently he did all the statistical modelling work in a detailed five-year forecast of the prospects for free and pay television technologies in Turkey, as part of a major due diligence consulting project. Another major consulting project undertaken involved acting as expert witness in a $500 million litigation case in Hollywood.
Mark has also authored and edited many reports about the television industry, including a report on the UK Public Broadcasting Sector for the European Broadcasting Union (EBU), and on the International Trade in Television Programming for the United Nations' World Television Day, as well as various reports on video-on-demand and pay-per-view.
Before joining Screen Digest, Mark worked in the film and television industry. He also has an MA degree from Cambridge University.
Roger Smith GMI Executive Editor
Roger R. Smith, as the Principal at Roger Smith & Co., has for the past nine years been a consultant and advisor to financial institutions and media companies. The latter have ranged in size from Warner Bros. to small Internet start-ups. Smith was an entertainment industry executive from 1974 to 1996.
During this 20-year period, he spent ten years with Warner Communications (now Time Warner), starting as its VP-Investor Relations and later chairing Warner's Acquisitions Committee and overseeing its strategic planning. From 1987 to 1996 he held several operating positions in the entertainment business, including CFO and later President of LIVE Entertainment and Executive Vice President Finance of Carolco Pictures, both NYSE companies. He served on both the LIVE and Carolco Boards of Directors through 1996.
Prior to working in the industry, he spent eight years on Wall Street as a financial analyst and portfolio manager covering the entertainment industry, among others. He also writes about the media field for a number of publications, including having his own bi-weekly column "It's Only Money" in Variety from 1999-2001. He frequently appears on CNBC discussing events in the media field.
He received his Bachelor's degree cum laude from Harvard in 1966, concentrating in Modern German History. He is the very proud father of Daisy.
Tom Adams Principal Analyst
Tom, founder of Adams Media Research, has been widely acknowledged as a leading authority on the U.S. home entertainment markets. Tom developed the analytical models and databases that are the basis for AMR's estimates and projections of the US media markets, and works closely with his team of analysts to generate original models of new content and distribution initiatives, strategic reports, newsletter articles, industry white papers and strategic consultations that provide actionable intelligence to content producers, network providers, packaged media retailers, technology innovators and media investors. Tom founded AMR in 1993 to focus on the impact the emergence of digital technologies such as DVD, the Internet and digital cable would have on the revenue and profit models for media content production and distribution. He previously spent six years as senior analyst at Paul Kagan Associates, covering home video, pay TV, publishing, and emerging consumer media technologies.
Arash Amel Research Director, Digital Media
As Research Director, Digital Media at Screen Digest / Adams Media Research, Arash oversees the strategic development of the company's global output on the business and economics of broadband, the digital distribution of movies, music, TV and user-generated content, and the relationship between content, open internet distribution platforms and consumer technology. Since joining Screen Digest in 2001, Arash has pioneered and managed the company's market forecasting models in all of these areas, built on a granular service-by-service basis through direct relationships with service providers and content owners, which now underpin the Broadband Media Intelligence service – the first of its kind anywhere in the world. He regularly advises senior management at the world's largest media companies, including the Hollywood Studios, television networks, technology companies and telcos, as well as regulators and major investment firms, on the opportunities and obstacles posed to the entertainment sector by the internet.
Guy Bisson Senior Analyst, Head of Television
Guy Bisson has more than 15 years research experience covering the global television markets. He was instrumental in building Screen Digest's television research department and the on-line Television Intelligence data service. Guy has a wide range of consulting experience having carried out work for many of the world's largest media companies and investment banks.
His experience spans due diligence, expert witness work and high-level strategic consulting. Guy presents frequently at international conferences and trade shows and has authored numerous industry reports. Helen Davis Jayalath Senior Analyst, Head of Video
Helen heads up Screen Digest's Video team and has overall responsibility for the company's coverage of the packaged media business. She has been analysing the international video business since 1991 and is widely acknowledged as a leading authority in the field. Helen has led the expansion of Screen Digest's coverage of the sector since 1994, including the development of the online Video Intelligence service which set new standards for market information about the video industry.
Helen has managed or contributed to numerous consultancy projects for Screen Digest clients including major Hollywood studios, independent video distributors, TV companies and investment banks. She has written and edited a wide range of Screen Digest reports examining all aspects of the global home video and DVD markets. Over the past 15+ years she has contributed to numerous other media publications and been cited frequently in trade and consumer publications and in radio and TV coverage of the sector. She is a regular speaker at international conferences and in 1996, along with Ben Keen, was appointed co-programme director of the annual European Video Perspectives (PEVE) conference. Over the next decade Helen was instrumental in transforming PEVE into the pre-eminent event of its kind in Europe, bringing together leading home entertainment players from around the world. In 2007 she took on overall coordination of the event when it was acquired by Screen Digest and successfully relaunched as Screen Digest PEVE Digital Entertainment. Between 1999 and 2003 Helen was retained as a market research consultant by the British Video Association. Prior to joining Screen Digest Helen worked as an analyst with Kagan World Media in London. She has a degree from Exeter University and is fluent in Spanish and French with a working knowledge of Italian.
David Hancock Senior Analyst, Head of Film and Cinema
David is a senior expert on the global film and cinema sectors. He is the Head of Film and Cinema with Screen Digest and has overseen its development in this area since 1997, including the set-up of the online data and analysis service Cinema Intelligence and is also actively developing the company's digital cinema activities. He has been involved in numerous consultancy projects for international organisations and companies, specialising in new business models and in-depth market analyses.
David is the co-author of the major report Digital Cinema: Roll-out, business models and forecasts. He also authored the groundbreaking Screen Digest/SAWA report The World Market for Screen Advertising. He is also the original author of Cinema exhibition and distribution in Europe: Market Assessment and Forecasts and several other reports. He developed and authored the comprehensive analysis of world film production, distribution and exhibition, which are published annually in Screen Digest magazine, as well as other research into cinema and film industries, including digital cinema. He has also acted as a consultant to producers, banks and other interested stakeholders in the film-making process. David is a frequent contributor to newspapers, trade press, radio and television regarding the film industry and is a regular speaker at international conferences and film festivals. He has edited and authored many articles, books and book chapters on the film industry chain.
Prior to joining Screen Digest, David was a senior executive with Eurimages, the Strasbourg-based pan-European co-production fund working within the Council of Europe, and also worked as a research consultant in the media sector with the major French consultancy IDATE. He holds a BA Honours degree in Business Studies/French from Leeds Metropolitan University and speaks fluent French.
Ronan de Renesse Senior Analyst, Head of Mobile Media
Ronan is Screen Digest's senior analyst for the mobile sector and has overall responsibility for the online Mobile Media Intelligence service and all related activities. He has been analysing the telecommunications industry since 2003 and has been participating in the conception and development of Screen Digest's Mobile Media Intelligence service since 2006. Ronan has been involved in several consultancy projects for international organisations and companies, specialising in new business models and in-depth market analyses.
Prior to joining Screen Digest, Ronan was an academic researcher at the Centre for Telecommunications Research at King's College London. He had numerous articles published in major international technology journals and also gave various presentations in the most influential conferences in his field.

Tom Morrod Senior Analyst, Head of TV Technology
Tom is the senior analyst for TV and broadcast technology at Screen Digest. Tom has developed the TV Technology Intelligence service and is responsible for all related projects focused on the technology value chain. In 2008, Tom authored a major report on the global broadcast and media technology industry for the IABM, after having co-authored the report's first edition in 2006.
Along with work on the core intelligence service, Tom has been involved in many consultancy projects across industries such as set-top boxes, conditional access and middleware, infrastructure and distribution, codecs and licensing, t-commerce and broadcast hardware & software.
Prior to joining Screen Digest, Tom has worked in content acquisitions and television rights distribution, and in independent theatre. He holds a BA Honours in Economics from the University of Nottingham and an MA in Creative and Media Enterprise from the University of Warwick.
Tim Westcott Senior Analyst, GMI London Editor
Tim is a Senior Analyst, Television, at Screen Digest.
He joined the company in September 2004 and has written reports on film and sports rights, animated movies and television on the internet. Tim previously worked for two years at the European Audiovisual Observatory in Strasbourg as an analyst specialising public film and audiovisual funding. He co-authored an Observatory report on the subject and was responsible for KORDA, an online database of film funds. A trained journalist, Tim has worked for the Financial Times and Emap, including a stint as editor of Television Business International. While freelance, Tim wrote three reports for Screen Digest on children's television and animation and wrote for titles including Broadcast, Variety, Ecran Total and The Guardian. He holds a MA (Hons) in English Literature from Trinity College, Cambridge.
Vincent Létang Senior Analyst
Vincent is a Senior Analyst with Screen Digest. Vincent has been monitoring global advertising markets for ten years. As head of the Advertising practice he launched 'Advertising Intelligence' in January 2009, a new Screen Digest online service focusing on television advertising and digital advertising trends. Vincent and his team are monitoring advertising spending, forecasting the impact of economic, technological, regulatory and media consumption changes on advertising revenues across all media. The data focuses in particular on the quarterly performance of key television broadcasters as well as emerging digital advertising formats: mobile advertising, online video, digital out-of-home, in-game advertising.
Before joining Screen Digest in 2005, Vincent has been head of the Media practice in BIPE consulting in Paris for six years. He was in charge of the 'Ad Barometer' study an annual international survey of advertising trends, commissioned by Lagardere. In his career Vincent has acted as consultant/analyst for a number of high profile clients including the European Commission, the DDM, France Telecom, Juniper, Lagardere, National Center for Cinema (CNC), Globecast, Microsoft, OFCOM, Sony, IAB, Discovery, NBC Universal, Astra, Disney etc. He has been invited to speak in more than ten international conferences since joining Screen Digest in 2005. Piers Harding-Rolls Senior Analyst, Head of Games
Piers has been the lead games analyst at Screen Digest since 2005. As head of the games team he leads projects in games related consulting, produces industry leading reports on games markets and manages the development and expansion of the games intelligence service into new areas of coverage including the various online games sectors such as the online console market, social network games and MMOGs. Dan joined Screen Digest in 2004 and played a key role in the development of the company's digital media coverage. As Head of Broadband he specialises in online content and the technical issues surrounding the distribution of digital entertainment.
As part of Screen Digest's broadband team Dan led the development of the forecasting models used in the online Broadband Intelligence service including online movies, TV, music and user generated content. Charlotte is a senior analyst at Screen Digest specialising in the global film and cinema sectors and has eight years experience as a media analyst. Charlotte has authored the first major industry study on digital 3D cinema 'The Business Case for Digital 3D Cinema Exhibition'. She is also the co-author of the major report 'Digital Cinema: Rollout, business models and forecasts', published in 2006 and written several others including 'Cinema Exhibition and Distribution in Western Europe'. A veteran of some 14 years with AMR, Jan is vice president of AMR's publication division, overseeing the development and production of AMR's industry reports and monthly newsletter. As senior analyst she is responsible for the research and analysis for AMR's exclusive Titles Database. Jan also contributes research, analysis and insight to AMR consulting projects in the film and entertainment industries. She began her career at AMR in 1995, working in editing, graphics, layout and production of three monthly newsletters. Nick Parker Analyst
Nick, has worked in the leisure software sector for 12 years in senior positions at Nintendo, Sony and most recently Infogrames. Following his role as Business Analysis Manager at Nintendo, Nick joined Sony Computer Entertainment Europe in 1995 where, as VP Strategic Planning, he held overall responsibility for the company's software catalogue management, sales forecasting and market research.

Richard Cooper Senior Analyst
Richard Cooper is a Senior Analyst in Screen Digest's Video team where he is responsible for the ongoing development of the online Video Intelligence service, including designing, constructing and maintaining the detailed computer models that underpin Screen Digest's video forecasts. His other responsibilities include tracking the expanding Blu-ray Disc replication sector and monitoring trends in emerging markets.
Richard joined Screen Digest in May 2006 following contract work with Disney as a market analyst. He has been involved in the home entertainment industry since 2001 when he joined MVC, a specialist music and video retailer, as a Category Planning Analyst. He covered a wide range of projects within MVC looking at areas as diverse as property, space planning, market forecasting, range management, customer segmentation and even spending time as the buyer for specialist music.
Richard holds an honours degree in Business Decision Sciences from Hertfordshire University.
Marie Bloomfield Analyst
Marie is an Analyst in the broadband media team. She tracks developments in broadband content markets, connected devices, and the evolving relationship between physical and digital entertainment businesses. Marie was formerly a member of Screen Digest's video department, where she was responsible for research and analysis across the European video market and assessing emerging trends. She has spoken on her areas of expertise at various international conferences and seminars, and has been involved in consulting to many of Screen Digest's key clients. Marie graduated from the University of Surrey, Roehampton in 2004 with a BA Honours degree in English and Film.
James Garlick Analyst
James joined Screen Digest in January 2006 after graduating from Cambridge University with a first class degree in Modern Languages. He reports on current developments in broadband content and analyses global broadband market activity for the Screen Digest monthly newsletter and online intelligence service. James has contributed to consultancy projects for clients such as the European Commission among others. He has authored two reports Will the internet break? Sarah Johnson Analyst
Sarah is an Analyst in the broadband media team. She is responsible for monitoring and analysing broadband content markets with a particular focus on digital movies and online sports. Sarah joined Screen Digest in 2006 after graduating from Cambridge University with a first class Masters degree in Natural Sciences.
Julien Theys Analyst
Julien joined Screen Digest's mobile media team in July 2007. He is covering the mobile advertising market, smartphone operating systems, Venture Capital funding, M&A deals and mobile social networking. Julien authored industry reports on topics including mobile advertising, as well as on Google and Microsoft's mobile strategies. Prior to working for Screen Digest, Julien worked as a Brussels-based consultant for film producers and rights holders societies on issues such as European policies, tax incentives, video on demand and cinema market. He holds a Master of Science in Management from the Solvay Business School in Brussels.
Daniel Knapp Analyst
Daniel analyses the economics of TV and digital media advertising with a particular emphasis on the impact of changing regulatory frameworks and audience trends. Looking at both the macro- and micro-level, he forecasts global advertising markets and also tracks and assesses major European broadcasters' performance on a quarterly basis. Developing statistical and econometic models, he has been instrumental in building Screen Digest's Advertising Intelligence Service. Drawing on this expertise, Daniel has facilitated and worked on a range of consulting projects for international media companies, regulatory authorities and private equity.
Prior to Screen Digest, Daniel worked in media policy at the State Chancellery of North Rhine-Westphalia and as a Research Fellow at the European Institute for the Media, a media think tank, where he analysed the social impact of new technologies. For instance, he co-authored a feasibility study on Digital Terrestrial Television for the German Government and was involved in design and analysis of a national survey on internet consumption trends as part of the World Internet Project.
Daniel holds an MSc degree from the London School of Economics and a B.A. in Government and Communication Sciences from the University of Erfurt, Germany. Apart from his work at Screen Digest, he is also completing a PhD in Media & Communications. A German national, Daniel is also fluent in Dutch and French.
Daniel Simmons Analyst
Daniel Simmons in an analyst in Screen Digest's television and broadcast technology team. Playing an integral role in developing Screen Digest's TV Technology Intelligence service Daniel's knowledge base is centered around customer premises equipment markets such as set-top boxes, television sets, conditional access and middleware. In complement to the intelligence service, Daniel has undertaken an array of bespoke consultancy projects centered around the entire TV technology value chain.
Prior to joining Screen Digest Daniel graduated from the University of Surrey with a BSc in Physics. Daniel was also awarded an Associateship of the University of Surrey with distinction for undertaking a professional training year with Mitsubishi Electric ITE's Visual Information Laboratory where he was involved in developing video processing algorithms.
Andrew Young Analyst
Andrew joined Screen Digest in February 2008 and is an analyst specialising in Broadcast & Technology. He co-authored a major report on the global broadcast and media technology industry for the IABM and has worked on many bespoke consultancy projects covering broadcast and media technology all over the world.
Prior to joining for Screen Digest, Andrew graduated from the University of Bath with a BSc in International Management and Spanish. Andrew attended the University of San Andres business school in Buenos Aires and worked for the Royal Bank of Canada in Uruguay during his University placement year.
Michael Arrington Analyst
Michael Arrington has extensive experience in a wide range of media, entertainment and high-technology markets including cable, consumer devices, film entertainment, graphics hardware and software, interactive television, the Internet and online services, personal computers, satellite communications and software development. Michael has previously served as an analyst at Penton Digital Media Research and Paul Kagan Associates. Erik Brannon Analyst
With nearly five years of analytical experience in the cable television landscape, Erik Brannon brought his knowledge and experience to AMR in April 2008. Erik specializes in the economics of cable television networks, and is a contributor to AMR and Screen Digest's service, U.S. Television Intelligence. Since joining AMR, he has participated in many consulting projects, and publication of several reports. Erik graduated from the University of California at Santa Cruz in 2003 with a Bachelors degree in History. Prior to joining AMR he served as analyst at Paul Kagan Associates.
Andrew Katolo Analyst
Andrew focuses on Central and Eastern European pay TV markets in the Television department. Since joining Screen Digest in September 2007 he has contributed to a number of reports and consultancy projects.
Andrew graduated from Jagiellonian University, Krakow, Poland, with a MA in Philosophy. Before joining Screen Digest, Andrew spent two years researching European IT markets. Andrew is a native Polish speaker and is also fluent in Russian.
Marija Jaroslavskaja Analyst
Marija is an analyst in the broadband media team specialising in music, connected devices, and free online video consumption. She has worked on a number of consultancy projects on topics ranging from the future of the TV channel to ISP economics. Marija holds a double BA degree in Integrated Social Sciences and History from Jacobs University Bremen (Germany) and MPhil degree in Economic and Social History from Cambridge University.
Tony Gunnarsson Research Analyst
Tony joined Screen Digest in February 2008 as a research analyst in the Video department. His responsibilities include monitoring and analysing established and emerging video markets worldwide and tracking developments in the online video rental sector. His responsibilities include the day-to-day analysis of European data collated via Screen Digest's long-term partnership with the International Video Federation, with a particular focus on the countries of northern Europe. Prior to joining Screen Digest, Tony was a night editor at media services firm Precise Media and a journalist with publishing company IT Europa. As a freelance writer he also regularly contributed to magazines and publications.
Tony holds a BA in Modern History from the University of North London and a Ma in Imperial and Commonwealth History from King's College, London. A Swedish national, he is fluent in Swedish, English, Norwegian and Danish with a working knowledge of German.
Steve Bailey Research Analyst
Steve recently joined the Games team at Screen Digest as a Research Analyst . Steve leaves behind an accomplished career in games journalism which took in a variety of magazine roles as well as editorship of Teletext's games portal, GameCentral. Most recently Steve lent his distinctive voice to influential games periodical, Edge, as a freelance writer. Over the last six years Steve has written thousands of published pages on video games in the specialist press.
Prior to this, Steve attended Cardiff University, completing a Ph.D. in Mathematics, with a heavy emphasis on on numerical analysis. Not surprisingly, his interests include video games.
Jack Kent Research Analyst
Jack Kent joined Screen Digest in October 2008 as a research analyst for the mobile content team. After graduating in 2006 from King's College London, with a BA in English Language & Literature, Jack has worked for GfK NOP market research group and Brad Insight, the marketing and media intelligence division of Emap.
Richard Baxter Research Analyst
Richard joined Screen Digest in November 2008 as a research analyst for the video team, where he is responsible for tracking developments in 3D home entertainment. He is also involved in the day-to-day analysis of European data collated via Screen Digest's long-term partnership with the International Video Federation as well as in tracking trends in the emerging markets of China and India.
Before joining Screen Digest, Richard worked for a research agency in the Munro Global group and as a researcher at King's College London. Richard holds a PhD in Social and Cultural Geography, a MA in Cities, Culture and Social Change and a BA in Geography all from King's College London.
Aravind Venugopal Research Analyst
Aravind Venugopal is the latest member of the Television team at Screen Digest, having joined in early 2009 as a research analyst. Aravind holds a masters degree in Media Management from the University of Westminster, where he focussed on the strategies of the UK's pay TV operators, and a bachelor's degree in commerce (B.Com) from the University of Pune, India.
Prior to joining Screen Digest, he worked in the creative side of the radio industry, including a stint at the Arabian Radio Network, Dubai.
Merrick Kingston Research Analyst
Merrick joined Screen Digest in January 2009 as a research analyst for the Television Technology team. Merrick completed his MSc from the London School of Economics in the fall of 2008, and holds a BA in Economics from Middlebury College. He speaks fluent French and Italian.
Cyrine Amor Research Analyst
Cyrine joined Screen Digest in December 2008. She focuses on tracking advertising trends in a number of Africa, Middle-East and Asian markets. Her specialist research fields cover out-of-home advertising and ad agencies. Prior to joining Screen Digest, Cyrine worked in the film industry at the UK Film Council and freelanced as a script consultant. She holds an MA with distinction in Media & Communications from Goldsmiths College, London. Cyrine speaks several languages including fluent French, German and Arabic and has some knowledge of Italian and Spanish
Thomas Gatten Research Analyst
Tom joined Screen Digest in May 2009 as a research analyst for the mobile content team. Tom graduated with a 1st class degree in Human sciences from Oxford last year, and has since worked for the BBC and the Times of India in Mumbai. He has also worked as a political researcher and PR officer in Whitehall for two MPs.
Sophie Polyviou Research Analyst
Sophie Polyviou joined Screen Digest in June 2009 as a research analyst for the Broadband Intelligence team. After graduating from UCL with a degree in History, Sophie worked as a freelance journalist for publications including Time Out. She is fluent in Greek.
Wenbo Wang Research Analyst
Wenbo joined Screen Digest as a Research Analyst, Television, in June 2009. Wenbo graduated from Cambridge University with an MPhil in Screen Media and Cultures. She was the first (and remains the only) Chinese person accepted to the course. Her research interest covers China's television market and the development of new media in China and other regions in Asia. Her thesis on sixth-generation Chinese documentary represents the first English-language research on the subject and secured publication by University of Minnesota Press. Prior to joining Screen Digest, Wenbo worked as a research analyst at Euromoney Institutional Investors PLC in London and completed financial journalist training there. She has also contributed to the launch of the China Channel, an online internet TV channel, at East of England Production Innovation Centre in 2008.
Before moving to the U.K., Wenbo worked as a researcher for the World News Programme of Beijing Television in China, where she developed local knowledge of the Chinese media industry. She is a native Mandarin speaker and has knowledge of French. She holds a BA in English Literature and Bsc in Economics from Beijing Foreign Studies University in China.
Leonid Tskhurbaev Research Analyst
Leonid joined the TV-Technology team as a research analyst in April 2009. Leonid completed his MA in refugee studies at the University of East London in 2006, and also holds BA in English from University of Vladikavkaz, Russia. He speaks fluent Russian and English.
Tom Saunders Research Analyst
Tom joined Screen Digest in November 2009 as a research analyst for the Television Technology team. Prior to joining Screen Digest, Tom worked as a researcher on several TV Programmes and has also undertaken an internship in public policy research. He holds a BA in Chinese from the University of Sheffield and an MA in Linguistics from the University of Leeds. He is fluent in Chinese.
Lirui Ding Research Analyst
Lirui Ding joined Screen Digest in November 2009. Prior to joining Screen Digest, he has worked on a film marketing project in University of Oxford. He has also worked in China Central Television and Beijing Organising Committee of the Olympic Games before coming to UK.
Lirui graduated with a Distinction degree in MSc International Management from King's College London in 2009 and BSc Commodity Science from Renmin University of China.
Tania Loeffler Research Analyst
Tania joined Screen Digest in late 2009 as a Research Analyst for the Broadband Media Team. Prior to Screen Digest, she worked in Toronto, Los Angeles, and London in various roles in Film, Television & Digital Media.
Tania has a B.A. (Honours) in Film Studies from Queen's University and an M.A. in Communication Management from the University of Southern California. She is fluent in German.
