Standards for 3D in the home must be agreed if it is to surpass 15% penetration worldwide by 2015. Despite growing momentum for 3D in cinemas, 3D in the home is a long way from being a mass-market reality. GMI's most positive scenario envisages just over 15% of total TV sets installed worldwide being 3D-capable by 2015, while its most pessimistic would put penetration at 3% in 2015.
