Wall Street discovers the field of screen advertising as the IPO of National CineMedia creates a $2.7bn pure-play vehicle. Does this strong stock market debut suggest that a more positive view of the larger business of movie exhibition is in the making? The US cinema advertising market is growing fast, forecast to reach $982m by 2011, but remains relatively underdeveloped compared with Europe and Asia.
